Course Description

Prerequisites: English 9, English 10 Honors and departmental recommendation.

This course is designed for juniors with a strong interest and ability in the subject. The curriculum will surpass the basic requirements for English 11, requiring the students to be more independent and self-motivated. The students will be engaged in the careful reading and critical analysis of AP level literature throughout the course. Students will be well prepared for the Regents exam, which is a graduation requirement and will serve as the final exam for the course. Students will also have a background for taking AP English in Literature and Composition in their senior year.
