All juniors must take the Comprehensive English Regents Examination in June. The purpose of the English 11 course is to help students develop the reading and writing skills necessary for success on this examination. Students read, discuss, and write about a variety of novels, short satires, plays, poems and essays. They also learn to write essays for a variety of purposes and audiences.
