The topics covered are patterned after the course outline suggested by the C.E.E.B. The course is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement Biology exam given in May by the C.E.E.B. The course is taught at the college freshman level and may allow entering college freshmen to forego freshman biology or a science requirement in some select institutions. This course is geared for the student who is ready to accept the challenge of college level work. A.P. Biology encourages the student to process, develop and synthesize information in a science format. Field and laboratory skills as well as investigative techniques are taught. 12 labs required.
