On January 10th we held our second Career Cafe at CV-S! The Career Cafe is a CFES initiative where we have members of the community come in to speak with our students about their professions. Each Career Cafe focuses on a career theme, the first theme was Working With Animals and the one we just held was on Health Related Careers.
During lunch the professionals sit with the students and discuss what exactly they do as their career. The students are free to ask any questions so they can determine if that career would be a good fit for them in the future. Lunch is always provided for the students and guests that attend. The event is open to 8th, 9th and 10th grade students. Sign up is on a first come first serve basis. Our next Career Cafe will be unique because it will be on varied professions. We've had very positive feedback from both the students and professionals that attend the Career Cafe's. We are very interested in having members of the community come in and talk with our students about their careers.
